My little sister, Natalie, and her husband, Paul, welcomed their first baby on Sunday March 30 (Paul's birthday too!). Caleb Ronald was 8 lbs 8 oz and everyone is doing well. Congratulations!

The Painted Veil by W. Somerset MaughamMy review
rating: 3 of 5 starsThis book is somewhat depressing and I never tend to rate those very high. I liked the transformation Kitty's character makes in Mei-Ton- Fu but to have her "mess up" again at the end ruined the book for me. I could also appreciate the irony of Kitty and Walter vs. Mr. Waddington and his princess he couldn't get rid of. I watched the movie a couple days after I finished the book and liked it SO MUCH BETTER - which is very rare.
